Yin Yoga is an internal and meditative approach to practice that serves as a perfect complement to more dynamic and muscular “Yang” styles of yoga (think: Power Vinyasa). Yin helps to improve circulation, and joint mobility while cultivating awareness and inner stillness. In Yin Yoga your body is supported with a variety of props as you release into long holds of postures. Poses are held for 3-5 minutes. These holds softly open the connective tissues and apply gentle stress to ligaments and tendons, allowing them to fully release. Many of the postures focus on areas that encompass a joint (hips, sacrum, spine). This class is not heated and 75 minutes in length.
