Please join our Donation Class benefiting Africa Yoga Project. We’ve teamed up with Africa Yoga Project as their “Ambassadors” in Chicago, and we have pledged to raise $10,000 for them in one year.

Africa Yoga Project is a non-profit organization that helps educate, empower, elevate and expand employability with youth in Africa using the transformational practice of yoga. Based in Nairobi, Kenya, Africa Yoga Project started in 2008, and currently serves 15 African countries. Africa Yoga Project provides more than 300 community yoga classes weekly, in 80 different locations, in which over 6,000 people participate. They are truly a force to be reckoned with!

Africa Yoga Project delivers global well-being in and from Africa. They practice and teach yoga with a deep conviction that the potential to change the world lives in each of us. Our bodies and minds must be connected in order to create lasting change. They deliver tools to bring wellbeing to the world, one body at a time.

To me, the most beautiful aspect of AYP’s work is the empowerment of African youth. More than 200 young people, trained as teachers, are earning a living wage by teaching yoga to people who otherwise would not have the opportunity.
